Woodfired porcelain pouring bowl
This pouring bowl was made by me in my studio in North Lincolnshire. It is thrown in porcelain and was fired in our woodfired manabigama in Sherwood Forest. It has a blue/green glaze on the interior and exterior. The atmosphere in the kiln creates a light glaze and blushing on the unglazed porcelain at the base of the pot and no two pieces are the same. See photos to see marks left on the pot from the flame path around wadding that the pots rest on in the kiln.
My functional stoneware pieces are all dishwasher safe.
Approximate measurements of my pouring bowl: diameter 14cm x 6.5cm height. All sizes are taken at widest points and size varies from pot to pot.
