Wood fired soap dispenser in ash glaze - green with pink flashes
This soap dispenser was wheelthrown by me at my studio in North Lincolnshire. It was then woodfired in a satin ash glaze, made using the ash from an ash tree. This particular piece has some stunning pink flashes from where copper from another pot has fumed and then reduced on the surface of this pot. The rest of tge pot is a pale green with some glassy areas and one area of a yellow/bronze colour where ash has landed, melted and formed its own glaze. The woodfiring takes place in the heart of Sherwood Forest. It is very very small batch production and is completely unique - no two soap dispensers are the same.
It stands approximately 18cm tall from the base to the top of the pump.
This piece is ideal for anyone looking to reduce plastic waste. It is refillable so that you can buy liquid soap in bulk and limit how many bottles you are disposing of. Many companies will refill your large bulk container too so that you really can minimise plastic waste.
Overseas customers, I am no longer able to post to Europe or to Northern Ireland. For other countries, please contact me with the item required and I will give you a quote for postage. Postage costs have just increased dramatically and I am no longer able to offer international postage as standard without giving individual quotes for each item. Customs charges remain the responsibility of the customer to cover.
