Highland cow butter/cheese dome in matte white
This large dome was made by me in my studio in North Lincolnshire. It is thrown in stoneware and has a hand-modelled Highland cow finial. It is fired with a matte white glaze over the natural clay on the exterior and plate and a transparent glaze on the interior of the dome
I use my large domes to hold a whole pack of butter or for serving cheese to the table but they could be used for other purposes too.
My functional stoneware pieces are all dishwasher safe although I recommend washing by hand in hot soapy water, especially animal items which are easily knocked.
Approximate dimensions: height 12cm x width 16.5cm (measurements taken at widest points). Each pot varies.
