2 - Woodfired stoneware bowl in dolomite white
This bowl was made by me in my studio in North Lincolnshire. It is thrown in stoneware and was fired in our woodfired manabigama in Sherwood Forest. It has a satin white dolomite glaze on the interior and exterior. The atmosphere in the kiln creates a wonderful toastiness to the unglazed clay on the bottom of the bowl. Where ash from the fire has landed on the pit during firing, it forms its own glaze creating colour variations on the white dolomite glaze.
My functional stoneware pieces are all dishwasher safe.
Approximate measurements of my pouring bowl: diameter 14.5cm x 7.5cm height. All sizes are taken at widest points and size varies from pot to pot.
